NIS Confirms Deadly Attack on Bakin Ruwa Checkpoint in Kebbi

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed that unidentified gunmen launched a deadly attack on its Bakin Ruwa Checkpoint in Tuga, Arewa Local Government Area of Kebbi State, on Thursday night.In a statement issued in the early hours of Friday by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, the heavily armed assailants struck at approximately 10:00 p.m., killing three immigration personnel on duty.The attackers also set ablaze operational vehicles, the checkpoint building, and other critical facilities before fleeing into the night.Comptroller General of (…)
