FG Launches Emergency Fund for GBV Survivors

The Federal Government has unveiled plans to create a dedicated Emergency Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response Fund to provide rapid financial support for survivors and strengthen safe spaces and emergency services across Nigeria.The announcement was made by the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, during the launch of a new research report on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) held in Abuja on Friday.Speaking through her Special Adviser on Political Matters, Alhaji Nasiru Zakari, the minister described the fund as a “ring-fenced” financial mechanism (…)
