Senator Wammako to Tinubu: Withdrawing Police from VIPs Will Make Us Targets

Senator Aliyu Wammako has opposed the withdrawal of police officers from Very Important Persons, VIPs, in the country. He said the decision poses significant danger, as VIPs could become the next targets for criminals. He added that, instead of withdrawing protection, the government should focus on the best possible means to flush out bandits, emphasizing that Nigeria should not submit to them; rather, they should submit to Nigeria. “I have to disagree with the idea of withdrawing police from VIPs. That is another danger because the VIPs are going to be the next target,” the lawmaker said (…)
