Ganduje, wife’s trial adjourned to February 2026

A Kano High Court on Wednesday adjourned the trial of former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Umar, and six others until February 3, 2026, for the hearing of all pending motions.The trial stems from an 11-count charge brought by the Kano State Government, accusing Ganduje, his wife, and the other defendants of bribery, conspiracy, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds running into billions of naira.The other accused are Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited, and Lasage General Enterprises (…)
