NOA, NUC Launch New Citizenship Studies Curriculum for Nigerian Universities

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the National Universities Commission (NUC) have joined forces to introduce a compulsory Citizenship Studies course across all universities in Nigeria.Director-General of the NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, formally inaugurated a joint technical committee tasked with developing the curriculum for immediate review and adoption.Speaking at the inauguration, Issa-Onilu explained that the new university programme is a key component of the Nigerian Identity Project aimed at restoring core national values.
