Police warns against protests over Kebbi students abduction

The Kebbi State Police Command has warned groups and civil society organisations planning to stage a protest over the abduction of students from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, saying the current security atmosphere does not support public demonstrations.In a statement issued on Friday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafiu Kotarkoshi, said intelligence reports at the command’s disposal indicated that some groups and NGOs were mobilising to hold a protest “any moment from today.”Kotarkoshi cautioned that although the command shares in the pain of the (…)
