BREAKING NEWS: Court Sentences Nnamdi Kanu To Life Imprisonment

A Nigerian court on Wednesday sentenced Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to life imprisonment, along with additional 20-year and 5-year sentences, all to run concurrently. There is no option of fine for any of the sentences. Delivering judgment, Judge Omosho noted that Kanu has a tendency for violence and ordered that he be kept in a facility suitable for high-risk inmates, adding that placing him in Kuje Prison may not be appropriate.
