Alake marks 20th coronation anniversary, installs new chiefs

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, on Tuesday, marked his 20th coronation anniversary.The monarch celebrated the anniversary with the installation of new chiefs.This included the conferment of the title of Ogboye of Egbaland on Chief Samuel Oluwadairo.The Alake, who was “coronated as the 10th Alake of Abeokuta and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland on November 19, 2005,” led the colourful ceremony which drew “a large turnout of top hierarchy of Egba Obas, titled chiefs, government functionaries, politicians and business moguls within and beyond Egbaland,” a statement shared with PUNCH (…)
