Ex-defence minister quits PDP, retires from politics

Former Minister of Defence and prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed, has formally announced his retirement from active politics and resignation from the PDP after more than four decades of public service.Mohammed disclosed this in a letter dated 14 November 2025, addressed to the PDP Chairman of Nassarawa Ward 1 in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State.The letter was also copied to the PDP state chairman, the party’s national chairman, and the Chairman, Board of Trustees.He said the decision followed “deep reflection” and a profound (…)
