The Abia State House of Assembly has sent an open letter signed by all 24 members, including the Speaker, to President Bola Tinubu, appealing for the immediate and unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).In a resolution passed on November 10 and formally forwarded to the President, the lawmakers urged Tinubu to direct the Attorney-General of the Federation to invoke Section 174(c) of the 1999 Constitution and enter a nolle prosequi, thereby discontinuing the terrorism charges against Kanu before judgment is delivered.Describing Kanu’s (…)
