2027: NNPP will secure Kano despite defection - Chairman

The National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Ajuji Ahmed, has said the party will retain Kano and win a minimum of three northern states in the 2027 general elections.According to Ahmed, the defections of some members of the party, particularly members of the National Assembly, will not jeopardise the party’s chances in the coming election.Ahmed’s statement came on the heels of the defections of two NNPP members of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin and Sagir Koki, to the APC.Announcing their defection in separate letters read by the Speaker, Abbas Tajudeen, on (…)
