Edo gov urges FG to halt drilling in disputed oil wells with Delta

The government of Edo State weekend called on President Bola Tinubu to halt further drilling of crude in the disputed oil wells between Edo and Delta states until resolution of the matter.The Deputy Governor of the state, Hon Dennis Idahosa made the call when he received members of the National Boundary Commission (NBC) led by its Director General, Adamu Adaji.Idahosa also called for the freezing of the accounts of the Delta state based oil firms so that they cannot continue to pay royalties to the sister state.A statement by the Chief Press Secretary, to Idahosa, Mr Friday Aghedo noted (…)
