The Nigerian Senate on Thursday advanced a bill to amend the Sheriffs and Civil Process Act, eliminating the need for the Attorney-General's consent before enforcing monetary judgments against government agencies.Leading the debate, Senator Idiat Adebule (Lagos West) described the 1945 law as manifestly outdated and fundamentally disconnected from present realities.
