Armed bandits have escalated extortion in rural areas of Tsafe Local Government Area, imposing multimillion-naira levies on vulnerable communities, according to credible sources.In Danjibga town, bandits demanded ₦8 million from residents, split evenly between ₦4 million as compensation for two motorcycles allegedly confiscated by security forces and another ₦4 million for funds they claim were taken by a local youth.To enforce compliance, the gunmen hijacked a vehicle loaded with 100 bags of soybeans, taking four occupants hostage.
