The Federal Government has outlawed the use of indigenous languages as mediums of instruction in Nigerian schools, enforcing English as the exclusive language of teaching from early childhood through tertiary education.Education Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa unveiled the policy on Wednesday at the British Council’s Language in Education International Conference 2025 in Abuja.
