FG approves temporary use of Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road after gas tanker accident

The Federal Ministry of Works has approved the temporary use of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road to ease traffic congestion caused by a gas-laden tanker accident at the Chisco axis, inward Victoria Island, Lagos. The development was announced in a statement posted on X on Monday by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA. According to the statement, the decision was reached following the disruption caused by the overturned tanker on the main carriageway, which led to major traffic delays in the area.
