Chinese National Arrested in Connection with Ikeja CCTV Shop Explosion

Lagos State Police have apprehended a Chinese national, Joe Gu, following an improvised explosive device (IED) blast at a CCTV shop on Kodesho Street, Ikeja. The arrest took place at Gu’s residence in Bila Vista, Banana Island, Ikoyi, around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.According to police sources, detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, acted on suspicions from the shop owner, who pointed to Gu as a potential orchestrator of the explosion.
