Ondo Police Nab 53-Year-Old Suspected Arms Manufacturer

Ondo State Police Command detectives arrested 53-year-old Kareem Fatia, suspected of illegally manufacturing firearms in the Ile-Oluji area. On October 15, 2025, Yaba Divisional headquarters officers, acting on reliable intelligence, raided Eyingun-Owode and apprehended the suspect.Police spokesperson Olusola Ayanlade confirmed the arrest in a statement issued in Akure. A search of a nearby bush behind Fatia’s residence uncovered three single-barrel guns, three Dane guns, and one unfinished gun barrel.
