Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the National Secretary of the Labour Party loyal to Julius Abure, says the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is only enjoying his current media attention but would not contest in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. This is coming barely 24 hours after Obi insisted that he was a member of the Labour Party and that his name would be on the ballot in 2027.
