Governor Nwifuru Urges NSCDC to Deploy 400 More Officers to Combat Illegal Mining

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has called on the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to deploy an additional 400 personnel to address the surge in illegal mining and security gaps in the state. The appeal was made during a courtesy visit by NSCDC Commandant-General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, at the Government House in Abakaliki on Friday.Nwifuru highlighted the state's inadequate security manpower, noting that military personnel are currently filling roles meant for the NSCDC due to insufficient staffing.
