Soldiers Feared Dead as Boko Haram Attacks Military Base in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents launched an attack on a military base in Ngamdu, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State, in the early hours of Friday. The assault targeted troops stationed along the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, according to Daily Trust.The attackers, arriving in large numbers, caught the soldiers off guard, leading to a prolonged engagement. The military temporarily closed the Ngamdu road, causing delays for motorists and commercial drivers until around 11:20 AM.
