Security forces in Kogi State have rescued eight passengers kidnapped by gunmen along the Okene-Auchi highway on Monday, October 6, at approximately 3:48 p.m. According to reports, about 15 armed men dressed in military camouflage attacked a Toyota Hiace Hummer bus (registration: EDO UBJ 114 ZY) operated by Big Joe Ventures Ltd., carrying 11 passengers from Abuja to Benin, Edo State.During the assault, one female passenger, Adesuwat Bright, was shot in the left shoulder and was promptly taken to CUSTECH Hospital, Okene, for treatment.
