Farmers Urge Tinubu to Tackle Skyrocketing Fertiliser Costs to Safeguard Food Security

Farmers’ groups have appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently address the escalating cost of fertiliser, warning that the price surge threatens food security and could jeopardize the administration’s agricultural reforms.The Coalition of Farmers Association of Nigeria (COFAN) and Himma Youth Farmers Association of Nigeria (HYFAN) voiced concerns over the restructuring of the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative (PFI).
