Court orders PENGASSAN to halt strike, directs NNPC to continue crude oil supply to Dangote refinery

The national industrial court in Abuja has issued an interim order stopping the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) from proceeding with its nationwide industrial action against the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. Emmanuel Sublim, presiding judge, granted the order on Monday. The judge granted the order on the premise that the strike, intended to disrupt the operations of the refinery by cutting crude and gas supplies, could cause serious damage to the nation’s economy, therefore directed the association to stop immediately.
