Police inspector ‘accidentally’ shoots self dead in Kano

A police inspector identified as Aminu Ibrahim has reportedly died from an accidental gunshot while on duty in Kano state. According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focusing on the Lake Chad region, the incident occurred around 5:40 am on Saturday in the Hotoro area of Kano. The officer, attached to the Hotoro division under Kano state police command, reportedly entered a toilet within the premises of Basnaj Global Resources Limited when the firearm discharged.
