Federal Fire Service gets first female deputy controller-general

Olumode Samuel, controller-general (CG) of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), has congratulated the newly decorated deputy controller-generals, including Ijeoma Okidi, the service’s first female DCG. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, minister of interior, decorated the newly promoted officers on Thursday at the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) headquarters in Abuja. Tunji-Ojo said the appointments had presidential approval, noting that they were based on merit, seniority, and an independent assessment in line with the Federal Character Commission’s guidelines.
