Two soldiers, 9-year-old boy killed as insurgents attack military base in Borno

Two soldiers and a nine-year-old boy were reportedly killed on Thursday after insurgents raided some military barracks in Banki, Bama LGA of Borno state. The attack, which happened around 10:15 pm, targeted the Bula Yobe forward operating base, 152 battalion, and the divisional police headquarters in Banki. According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication, three military vehicles were also set on fire. Troops called in air support after coming under heavy fire.
