Police arrest Lagos NURTW official over alleged murder

The Lagos police command says it has arrested Samsideen Oladiti, one of the leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the city, over alleged murder and assault. In a statement on Friday signed by Babasayi Oluseyi, deputy police public relations officer, the command relayed that the suspect, popularly known as ‘Shamelon’, is being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba. “The suspect is currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti-Yaba, for discreet investigation,” the statement reads.
