Wike: No Law Compels Fubara to Resume Office Immediately After Emergency Rule

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, during an interview with Channels TV on September 18, 2025, clarified that there is no legal requirement for Governor Sim Fubara to resume office immediately following the suspension of emergency rule in the state.Wike emphasized that governance extends beyond physical presence in the office. “There’s no law stating Fubara must resume today.
