Police fire teargas as traders protest power outage at Lagos’ Tejusoho market

Police fired teargas on Thursday at the popular Tejuosho market shopping complex in Yaba, Lagos, to disperse traders protesting a prolonged power outage at the facility. Many people were seeing scampering for safety as police officers mobilised to the area shot teargas cannisters at the protesting traders. A police officer was also sighted firing live bullets as protesters threw objects to resist the security pushback.
