Sushila Karki, Nepal’s former Chief Justice, was sworn in as the nation’s first female Prime Minister on Friday, following a youth-led uprising that ousted the previous government. The 73-year-old was selected through an unprecedented online poll on Discord, where Gen Z activists, rallying against corruption, chose her with 62% of 7,713 votes.The ceremony at Sheetal Niwas, led by President Ram Chandra Paudel, followed days of violent protests sparked by a social media ban.
