Several videos have surfaced showing the moment Hilda Baci’s gigantic pot broke while attempts were being made to weigh it. On Friday, the celebrity chef began her record attempt to cook the largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice shortly after 3 pm at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos. The feat was carried out in a custom-built pot measuring six meters wide, which took a 300-member culinary team two months to make. For the record, Baci used a recipe including 4,000kg of rice (200 bags), 500 cartons of tomato paste, and 600kg of onions while more than 2,000 people were present to cheer and taste (…)
