Kebbi governor suspends Health Commissioner for negligence

Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, has suspended the Commissioner for Health, Yunusa Musa Ismail, with immediate effect. The suspension, announced on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Yahaya Sarki, follows allegations of negligence of duty and disregard for his mandate as commissioner. According to the statement, Idris directed the commissioner to provide cogent reasons why disciplinary measures should not be taken against him. “By this directive, the Honourable Commissioner is suspended from office until further notice,” the statement read.
