Police arrest man for ‘N300m political appointment fraud’ in Kwara

The Kwara police command has arrested a man identified as Adeola Badru for allegedly defrauding a federal political appointment seeker of N300 million. Adekimi Ojo, Kwara police commissioner, shared details of the case with journalists in Ilorin this week. Badru is accused of criminal breach of trust, forgery, and obtaining money under false pretence. In 2023, he reportedly approached his victim, Joseph Olugbenga, claiming to be a seasoned politician with access to top political figures.
