Medical emergency forces United Airlines flight back to Lagos

A United Airlines flight from Lagos to Washington, D.C., was forced to make an emergency return on Tuesday after a passenger developed a medical complication mid-air. Flight UA613 had departed Lagos at approximately 12:10 a.m. and was already more than 90 minutes into its journey when the captain made an urgent appeal for any medical personnel on board to assist an ailing passenger. Shortly afterward, the captain informed passengers that the aircraft would be turning back to Lagos, stressing that safeguarding lives was the airline’s top priority.
