Nigerian Govt flags off contract for restoration of VON shortwave transmission

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Monday flagged off the contract for the restoration of the Voice of Nigeria’s shortwave transmission using the 250KW TX2 transmitter at the Lugbe transmitting station. Speaking at the event, the minister, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam, described the development as a “significant moment in the history of the Voice of Nigeria”.
