Benue Police Nab Child Trafficking Suspect, Rescue 11 Children Sold for N30,000 Each

The Benue State Police Command has apprehended Mhirve Terlumun, a suspected child trafficker, following the rescue of 11 children trafficked from Katsina-Ala Local Government Area to Edo State. Terlumun allegedly sold the children, aged 5 to 20, for N30,000 each to buyers in Benin City, disguising the payments as transport money.The rescue operation, conducted on August 23, 2025, was a joint effort by the Benue State Government and the Tiv Youth Organization (TYO) Edo State Chapter, led by Comr.
