Katsina State Launches Eight New Armoured Personnel Carriers to Bolster Security

The Katsina State Government has unveiled eight newly acquired Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), bringing the state’s total fleet to 43, the largest in Nigeria’s northwest region. The launch, led by Acting Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, follows a State Security Council meeting and aims to intensify efforts against banditry and kidnapping plaguing the state.The deployment of these APCs comes in the wake of a recent attack in Unguwar Mantau, Malumfashi Local Government Area, where bandits targeted worshippers during morning prayers, killing 28 and kidnapping several others.
