NDLEA Arrests Widow Using Fake Pregnancy to Smuggle Cocaine

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) apprehended Ifeoma Henrietta Ezewuike, a 50-year-old widow and fashion business owner, for attempting to traffic 1.3 kilograms of cocaine. Ezewuike, who runs Golden Star Creation in Lagos, was arrested on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a bus terminal in Jibowu, Yaba, as she tried to transport the drugs to customers in Abuja.According to NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, Ezewuike concealed the cocaine in a fake pregnancy belly to evade detection.
