Shettima Heads FG Delegation to Zuru Emir’s Funeral in Kebbi

Vice President Kashim Shettima led a Federal Government delegation to Zuru, Kebbi State, on Friday, August 22, 2025, to attend the funeral of the late Emir of Zuru, Major General Muhammadu Sani Sami (rtd), Gomo II, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 81 in a London hospital after a brief illness. The solemn ceremony, held at the Zuru Central Mosque following Juma’at prayers, drew thousands of mourners, including prominent figures such as the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, and Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir (…)
