We won’t dignify Alaafin’s 48-hour ultimatum with an official response, says Ooni’s aide

Moses Olafare, spokesperson for Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, says the monarch will not react to the 48-hour ultimatum from Abimbola Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo. The Alaafin had asked Ogunwusi to reverse the title of Okanlomo of Yorubaland as conferred on businessman Dotun Sanusi. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Olafare said the Ooni had instructed him not to issue a statement in response to the Alaafin.
