APC edges out NNPP to win Kano assembly rerun poll

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Ghari/Tsanyawa constituency supplementary election for the Kano assembly. Muhammad Waziri, the returning officer for the election from Bayero University, announced the result on Sunday morning. Waziri said Garba Gwarmai of the APC polled 31,472 votes to defeat Yusuf Maigado of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who scored 27,931 votes.
