APC loses Ibadan north federal constituency to PDP

Fola Oyekunle, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has won the Ibadan north federal constituency by-election. Abiodun Oluwadare, returning officer for the poll, announced the result in the early hours of Sunday in Ibadan. Oluwadare said Oyekunle secured 18,404 votes to defeat Adewale Olatunji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 8,312 votes.
