NLC Issues 7-Day Ultimatum to FG Over Diverted Workers’ Funds, PENCOM Board

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has given the Federal Government a seven-day deadline to refund workers’ funds allegedly diverted from the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and to immediately establish the Governing Board of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM). The NLC warned that failure to meet these demands by August 20, 2025, will trigger nationwide industrial action.This resolution was outlined in a communiqué released after the NLC’s Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Abuja.
