IGP extends tinted glass permit enforcement deadline to October 2

Kayode Egbetokun, inspector-general of police (IGP), has extended the deadline for the enforcement of the tinted glass permit to October 2. The IGP had extended the deadline to August 12 to give the force additional to enhance and refine the application process. In a statement issued on Monday, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, said the move will give room for “meticulous scrutiny” of applications to ensure only eligible persons are granted permits in line with national security considerations.
