Wanted Lagos Pastor Arrested by NDLEA for Alleged Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended Prophet Adefolusho Aanu Olasele, alias Abbas Ajakaiye, founder and General Overseer of The Turn of Mercy Church, for allegedly masterminding multiple shipments of illicit drugs into Nigeria. The arrest, which followed months of the suspect evading authorities abroad, took place on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his church premises on Okun Ajah, Ogombo Road, Lekki, Lagos.According to a statement by Femi Babafemi, NDLEA Director of Media & Advocacy, operatives waited until the conclusion of the church’s Sunday worship service (…)
