Kano Commissioner for Transportation resigns over bail controversy

The Kano State Commissioner for Transportation, Ibrahim Namadi, has resigned from his position hours after Gov. Abba Yusuf received the report of an investigative committee probing his alleged involvement in the bail of the suspected drug baron, Sulaiman Danwawu. This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa in Kano on Wednesday. Dawakin-Tofa said Namadi cited the overriding public interest and sensitive nature of the matter as reasons for his resignation.
