The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, has ordered the immediate arrest and trial of police officers accused of extorting ₦200,000 from Taiwo Kayode Taye, a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa. The incident, which sparked outrage among students, occurred when officers from the Anti-Cultism Unit stopped Taye at Erin-Ile while he was traveling to Oshogbo in a commercial vehicle.According to reports, the officers demanded that Taye unlock his mobile phone during a search, which he refused.
