Yola flood: Adamawa government counters Atiku, others, denies insensitivity

The Adamawa State Government has refuted allegations of improper handling of Sunday’s flood that claimed lives and damaged property in the state.The flood, which affected communities in the state capital, Yola, led to the death of a number of people now put at five, with several other injured, in Yola South Local Government Area.Some people, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, had blamed the devastation on the state government, questioning prevention and mitigation measures put in place by the government.In a statement issued by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, (…)
