The Kano State Commissioner for Transport, Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala, has distanced himself from Sulaiman Danwawu, a suspect facing drug trafficking charges currently being prosecuted before a Federal High Court in Kano. Reports had emerged that Commissioner Namadi stood as surety for Danwawu during court proceedings, prompting a wave of criticism and concern from various quarters within and outside the state.
